And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. --Genesis 13:10

. . . Sodom . . . Gomorrah . . . Admah . . . Zeboiim . . . Zoar. All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea. --Genesis 14:2,3

There are a great number of prophetic words that speak of a great New Madrid earthquake. Most readers of this blog who have followed my postings for any length of time know that I have written on the subject fairly often. But ALL of those prophetic words have noted that the great earthquake will be in connection with dividing the land of Israel. Unfortunately, as I post in my (usually) once-weekly updates on Israel, that that very effort may be undertaken this September with the next series of UN meetings, and the UN is only TOO eager to stick it to the Israelis.

7 Key Events That Are Going To Happen By The End Of September

Something also worth nothing about all those prophetic words is that almost all of them have said that JUST PRIOR to a great earthquake in the New Madrid Seismic Zone, there will be some sort of economic crash.

Shane Warren said that in a vision he saw a news reporter reporting that the dollar had become worthless and as he was speaking he broke into his own broadcast with the news of a great New Madrid earthquake.

Pastor John Kilpatrick said he saw a 'storm' coming to the US dollar and a great New Madrid earthquake.

Just a couple of hours prior to the Supreme Court ruling (which most of us thought would actually be handed down on June 30, not June 26), Michael Snyder at his Economic Collapse blog issued his first ever RED ALERT.

Within hours AFTER the ruling, news came out of Greece that collapse was imminent. (This news also wasn't really expected until June 30, which they did, indeed, miss their multi-billion dollar payment to the IMF.) This is a situation that this blog has been following for several weeks because of a prophetic warning given by David Wilkerson in the 90s.

Because of the celebrations and parties going on here, very few were paying attention to over there.

Wilkerson even said that few would take notice because the collapse would be 'their problem' and would believe it wouldn't really affect us here.

And those people would be wrong.

It's coming.

In fact, on Monday, we learned that Puerto Rico is in trouble, serious trouble, and Michael Snyder explains why that trouble could very well shake an already heavily-duck taped US financial system.

Why The Puerto Rico Debt Crisis Is Such A Huge Threat To The U.S. Financial System

One of the probably more important news items to come out as the feathers began to settle in the chicken coop over the weekend was the report from Breitbart on who should really get the glory and the credit for pushing the same-sex marriage issue all the way to the Supreme Court. While Obama was busy running his victory lap, Breitbart said credit fell elsewhere.

Ready for this?

Silicon Valley Led the Effort for Same Sex Marriage

Silicon Valley is the nickname for the southern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Silicon Valley, like its ancient predecessor, the valley of Siddim, is also prosperous and, until recently, well-watered.

Awww . . . now we get it . . . why the MOST SEVERE drought on record for California has been taking place, with San Francisco one of the most hard hit areas of the state.

For the past year this blog has been frequently posting on California's woes, including its severe drought.

The Bible is clear. God is clear. When a nation sins against Him, He cuts off the bread from it.

That means, no rain, no crops.

Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it: --Ezekiel 14:13

And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. --Deuteronomy 28:23,24

We're already seeing California's animals dying in mass numbers.

So for those of you out there who says God doesn't allow famine, reread those verses. In fact, while you are at it, reread the first few chapters of Exodus. He cut off a lot of food (and animals) from the Egyptians in order to make Pharaoh let His people go. So yes, He does allow food supplies to the wicked to be cut off.

Unfortunately, Silicon Valley gathered warriors for its battle along the way.

These 35 Companies Just Told America Exactly What They Think About the SCOTUS Gay Marriage Ruling

Now we can probably make the case for what is going to happen in the 'hour' between now and the UN meetings in September.

The God that liberals don't believe exists, much less fear, won't bless those 300 or so companies that pushed for same-sex marriage. We are probably going to see an economic collapse the likes of which will make the Great Depression a 'footnote' in the history books. John McTernan also noted the news out of Greece on the SAME DAY as the same-sex marriage ruling, and McTernan believes that the economic turmoil that is about to hit the United States will, at some point, be traced back to the end of June.

And others are warning as well.

David Wilkerson once said in a sermon that when we (the US) was "in the midst of its worst natural disaster, Russia would have an 'evil thought.'"

Wilkerson's book Set the Trumpet to Thy Mouth is all about the Russians striking the US in a nuclear attack. Wilkerson believed that when the US was dealing with its worst disaster, Russia would make its move.

Could it be when the New Madrid tears the heart out of this country?

I am not sure.

But this I do know -- it is part of the established pattern in the Bible that God will use one nation against another to fulfill his purposes. He promises it in Deuteronomy 28:

Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. . . . Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. The Lord shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young: --Deut 28:41; 48-50

And we need look no further than Israel to see that warning fulfilled.

When the Ten Northern Tribes totally abandoned God and followed several Baal-worshiping kings, especially Ahab and Jezebel, God brought the barbaric and ruthless Assyrians against them to utterly devastate them and disperse them.

It might be worth noting that ISIS actually comes from the same ancient territory as the Assyrians.

When Judah did not heed the warning example of the Ten Northern Tribes, God brought Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon against the last of the Israelites to kill some but mainly to enslave them and drag them back to Babylon. It is good to realize that in the midst of such a horrible national calamity God did preserve a remnant and gave us one of the greatest end-times prophets, the godly prophet Daniel.

Too long ago?  Too Old Testament?   Hmmmm . . . well, the countries of Georgia and Crimea are not.

So with that very brief history lesson in mind, it is not out of the question that if God would allow that to happen to the Israelites, He will most likely do the same to the reprobate sodomites we have become, something Russia has called the US out on already.

Who's godless now?

As I write this post on June 30 to publish Part 1 by July 4th, though I am not Catholic I am aware that today's mass reading is from Genesis 19.

The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

Sarah Palin, the former VP running mate to John McCain in 2008 (you either love her or hate her), said that with the Supreme Court's same-sex ruling on Friday we must 'appeal to Heaven.'

That's terrifying when you think about it because it was a cry to heaven that brought the angels on their holy errand to Sodom and Gomorrah. This blog noted this past April concerning Sodom and Gomorrah that "perhaps the ‘beginning’ is just as important, maybe even more so, than the end."

The attack on the angels triggered the destruction of the cities of the plains.

In his June 29 post, Legislating Anarchy, Joseph Herrin quotes David Wilkerson in what the 'trigger' was in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Herrin quoting Wilkerson:

The Flash Point for the Judgment of God Comes the Very Hour a Homosexual Spirit Rises Up and Attacks What is Divine and Holy.

Readers of this blog, we are right there.

Since the gay marriage ruling, over 800 lightning strikes have started 3 dozen new wildfires in northern California. Sadly, we know this will not mean anything to those in Silicon Valley who led the fight to destroy traditional marriage. Their severe drought hasn't driven them to their knees in repentance. Nor have the bodies of millions of dead animals washing ashore along their popular beaches. The increase of syphilis and HIV in their community hasn't deterred them. They've even accepted drinking their own grey water, which by the way is a sign of judgment. In 2 Kings 18, the Assyrian Rabshakeh mocked the Israelites because the siege the Assyrians had laid against Jerusalem had forced the inhabitants to drink their own urine.

But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

So those of us who understand that when a nation is given over to a reprobate mind for its sins, the warnings and the judgments, the calamities and the woes which fall upon it go unheeded, so . . . God allows an hour for sin to reign. Use this hour saints of God to put your spiritual house in order. Be in prayer as to what you should be doing for your family, for your neighbors and for His kingdom. He's granting us a space of time. Use it wisely. When the dollar collapses, remember, it is our warning sign that the great New Madrid earthquake is imminent and could happen at any time, especially if any announcement is made concerning dividing the land of Israel.

If you are interested in my two cents:

1. If you are not sure just what is going to happen in the days ahead and you are torn between 'judgment will fall,' and 'ain't nothing gonna happen,' pray. If you are sincere, you might be surprised at just what God will show you.

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions --Joel 2:28

2. If you are going to go there and pray about what to do, be honest with yourself -- do you need to repent of anything? The air has to be cleared between you and Him. He's right and you're wrong. That's usually the sum of it.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; --Romans 3:23

3. Don't hate the homosexuals. Remember we just watched our nation slit its own throat on June 26.

In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth? --Jeremiah 44:8

3. Recall as many promises of God in His Holy Word as you can. If you aren't sure of the wording of some of them, look them up and commit them to heart. Use the Gateway Bible link both here and in the sidebar of my blog to retrench in the Word of God.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. --Psalm 119:105

4. Don't be afraid to follow Joshua and choose to stand with God. If you lose your job and your income and you are afraid of where your next meal is going to come from, remember He has ravens that will do his bidding . . .

And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there --I Kings 17:4

or an Obadiah . . .

. . . Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly: For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water. --1 Kings 18:3,4

or a widow woman . . .

Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. 1 Kings 17:9

When you think there is little left, you might be surprised to find . . .

" . . . the barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail . . . " --1 Kings 17:14

And sometimes, even when we have fallen far from Him, he uses the ungodly to sustain us . . .

Now therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way. (the witch of Endor speaking to King Saul) --1 Samuel 28:22

To the homosexuals reading this post, let me speak directly to you. We born-again, blood-bought, Spirit-filled believers in Jesus Christ endure your mockings, your contempt, your hatred, and your abuse not because we are weak or cowards, but because we love you. We were once as you are now -- lost and undone. You don't understand our end; we fear yours. There is coming a day when we must all stand before God. He opens the books and we have to give account of ourselves.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. --Revelation 20:12

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. --Revelation 20:15

And there shall in no wise enter into it (Heaven) any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. --Revelation 21:27

The Bible tells us that when Jesus returns those who pierced Him (meaning those who wanted Him to be dead) will mourn.

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. --Revelation 1:7

Wail here means 'to lament, to cry, to beat one's breast for grief.'

The world will wail because in one moment, when they see Him, Jesus, they will understand what they threw away, what is now irretrievable to them. When the world, in that moment, sees Jesus, they will wish with everything within them that they had chosen Him. His gentleness, His love will be apparent, but lost to those who rejected him.

In that day I predict you will curse the day you ever heard the name of Barack Obama. You will curse yourself for ever following him over the cliff and into Hell. Barack Obama will be nothing to you in that day but a source of grief and heartache and you will beat your breast with grief, wondering why you would throw away so much for him and receive nothing for your trouble and loyalty but an eternity of separation from the love of God.

That, my friend, is why we born-again believers hurt for you. We know how close we came to doing the same thing. In that day we won't be cursing the one who led us to Hell; no, we will BE blessing the lovely soul who led us to the foot of the cross. And that's all we wish for you.

Many of us who understand end-times prophecy realize the time is short. You don't. And while you have been carrying on your wild and jubilant celebrations in the wake of your Supreme Court ruling, many of us grandmothers and grandfathers, moms and dads, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, children and friends, pastors and church members have been in our secret places of prayer and have poured out our hearts to God, and like Abraham as he learned of the impending doom of Sodom and Gomorrah, have prayed for as many as possible to be spared, and to be delivered even yet out of the dark pit and into the kingdom of the Son He loves.

I end with this passage from Colossians 1:

12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
