"IMAGINE THE UNIMAGINABLE"

The Seattle Times is reporting that the drawdown of water behind the Wanapum Dam has caused the 2-inch wide crack to close a half inch. That's good news!

Here are two interesting same-day events:

On Sunday, March 9, John Kerry's State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki, speaking to an Arab newspaper, made the following statement:

“The American position is clear, Israel is a Jewish state. However, we do not see a need that both sides recognize this position as part of the final agreement."

U.S. sends dangerously mixed signals on Israel as a Jewish state

A few hours later, a 6.9 struck about 50 miles off the coast of northern California, followed by several aftershocks.

If the pattern we often see holds true, that as we do unto Israel it is done unto us, then if President Obama and John Kerry decide that there is "no need" to identify Israel as a Jewish state in an attempt to force the Israelis to forge a peace agreement with the Palestinians, then is it possible that the United States will come to a place where she is no longer recognizable as the United States?

I ask that because also over the weekend, Dinesh D'Souza previewed his upcoming movie, America, and when you see the end of the trailer, you see that D'Souza claims that America, because of President Obama's policies, in the not-too-distant future will no longer be recognizable as America.

D'Souza tells us to "imagine the unimaginable."

He asks, as different landmarks, all very iconic to America (the Washington Monument, Mt Rushmore, raising the flag on Iwo Jima, and the Statue of Liberty), dissolve, "What would the world look like . . . "

". . . if America did not exist."

I don't know, but this trailer claiming that soon America will no longer be recognizable as America debuted the SAME weekend that the State Department stated that it was no longer essential to recognize Israel as a Jewish state as a condition for achieving peace.

And not only did this trailer premier asking this disturbing question, but also Mike Huckabee, former 2008 Presidential hopeful and Baptist minister warned of God's "fiery judgment" upon America if we do not repent of our sins.

"These are the things that I know. I know there is a God, and I know this nation would not exist had he not been the midwife of its birth. And I know that this nation exists by the providence of his hand, and if this nation forgets our God, then God will have every right to forget us," Huckabee said. "I hope that we repent before we ever have to receive his fiery judgment."

If you read nothing else about Israel or the peace process today, then read Isi Leibler's take on the Obama-Goldberg interview.

Candidly Speaking: Obama-Netanyahu rift is unbridgeable

Two dates to mark on the calendar.

March 17 -- Abbas will meet with Obama in Washington, D.C.

And March 28.

Excerpt:

The White House is debating whether to unveil a framework Israel-Palestinian Authority peace agreement that will address final status issues without the consent of Jerusalem and Ramallah, Israeli daily Ma’ariv reported on Sunday.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is determined to present a proposal by no later than March 28 – the day when a fourth segmented release of Palestinian Arab terrorists from Israeli prisons is scheduled to take place, Ma’ariv said.

Not only is Kerry's State Dept sending "mixed signals" about Israel being a Jewish state, his State Dept is also sending mixed signals to Russia over the Ukraine.

But China is NOT sending mixed signals.

Nor is Putin.

We are continuing to hear of mass animal die-offs along the West Coast. Not only starfish are being affected, but so are oysters, scallops and shellfish.

Massive die-off of oysters and scallops in Pacific Northwest: “Millions of shellfish dying” — Never seen anything like it — “By July mortality hit 95 to 100 per cent” — “Deformed shells, smaller in size” — “Cause is unknown, but ocean acidification is main suspect”

And keeping with California for a minute, not only are we hearing of a strange-polio like illness striking children, but . . .

also more about the approaching radiation plume from Fukushima.

Radiation from Fukushima may reach California next month.

Gov’t Paper: Air samples so hot from Fukushima, special handling required — U.S. had more stations at Level 5 than rest of world combined — Oklahoma lab reached overload

NBC: Head of radiation testing program on West Coast says Fukushima plume could threaten ecosystems — The effect on marine life? “We don’t know, whatever is in the kelp will get in bodies of those animals also”

Expert: ‘The worst’ from Fukushima has left Japan and is headed to US, Canada — “Most of the radioactivity” moving with currents toward west coast — Report: Front edge of plume arrives in Gulf of Alaska — State: “There’s been a detection of cesium from Fukushima”

U.S. Navy Officer: Radiation levels routinely exceeded 300 times normal for over a month far away from Fukushima, “yet I was given only gloves!” — My son was throwing up 30 to 40 times some days — “This basically ruined my life”

And speaking of "radiation problems," the situation in New Mexico has not improved.

‘Container fire’ at WIPP may have resulted from ‘spontaneous combustion’ — Expert: “Could’ve crapped up a whole lot of real estate down there” — U.S. radioactive waste disposal system crippled? — Potential radiological consequences for public, City of Carlsbad “affected greater than any other section”

And speaking of New Mexico, physicians in New Mexico and New York are reporting patients with common strept that morphed into a superbug. The patients were not related nor had any contact with each other, which indicates a genetic mutation may be occurring.

On a personal note, our family learned that strept is nothing to take lightly. In 2005, my daughter came down with strept throat that became strept pneumonia. She spent a week in the hospital and nearly died. She is allergic to both penicillin and sulfa drugs, so she had to have an IV antibiotic. Very, very grateful that she survived.
