Caroline Glick, who consistently keeps her finger on the pulse of the peace process as it beats along in Israel, notes the following in her opinion piece, Trying to Scare Israel:

In Washington, the Obama administration has added the threat of Israeli economic devastation to its list of plagues that will befall the Jewish state if we don’t give up our national heartland to the PLO.

In his remarks at the World Economic Forum in Davos last week, US Secretary of State John Kerry said, “Israel’s economic juggernaut is a wonder to behold…. But a deteriorating security environment and the growing isolation that could come with it could put that prosperity at risk.”

In other words, “Nice economy you got there Israel. It’d be a real shame if anything happened to it.”

Americans should be unnerved by her words, but won't be. A few, mainly those in the choir, will listen and heed, but as David Wilkerson sounded warning time and time again, this nation WILL NOT heed the warnings that judgment, that economic collapse, is coming to this country, is coming to America.

Because the collapse has been a long time in coming, most have cast aside any concerns -- primarily because if God had meant it, He surely would have done it already.

These people don't know their Bibles.

God is long-suffering. He puts up with our stupidity and our insolence and our rebellion. He endures the insults and stubbornness and infidelity of the many to provide time for the few who are turning their hearts toward Him.

Long-suffering, but not infinite. There comes a day when all changes. It came for Sodom and Gomorrah. It came for Pharaoh of Egypt. It came for Ahab and Jezebel. It came for Belshazzar. It came for Judas Iscariot.

It will come for America because as we do unto Israel, it will be done unto us. That President Obama "has added the threat of Israeli economic devastation to its list of plagues that will befall the Jewish state" if they don't give up Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, then perhaps we should heed Matt Drudge's cryptic tweet of only a few days ago, "Have an exit plan."

Glick also states in her piece that Europeans seem to view Israel as "colonial" because they are stronger in several ways than the Palestinians. She explains quite well why she says what she says.

Along those same lines, Ed Lasky includes in his piece at American Thinker, Dinesh D'Souza was right about Obama, a surprising inclusion of a brief history of Israel as well as President Obama's views of Israel as being "colonial." He offers support of his claim.

And Daniel at Prayers for the People tweeted this morning that the "ME peace mediators to meet in Munich. Of all places to discuss Israel's "future." Read Zechariah 12."

Munich? Really?

What's next? A "family get-together" at Auschwitz?

I thought Democrats, of which Obama and Kerry are, prided themselves on being "sensitive" to others.

And as for those who noted that it was good of President Obama to call Israel a "Jewish" state in his State of the Union address, I agree, that's nice, but his administration still falls short when it refuses to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and it refuses to move our embassy there, and it refuses to allow Americans born in Jerusalem to put "Israel" on their birth certificates. And, it would be really nice to see that Democrats not  "boo" Jerusalem at their next DNC -- yes, that really would be nice!
