Interesting timing.

We woke up to the news yesterday morning that explosions had "rocked" a missile base in Syria.

Shortly thereafter we learned from Debka that Israeli officials were privately dismayed to learn that it was an unnamed "Obama administration official" who leaked to the press that the Israelis were responsible.

Here’s Why Israelis Are Once Again Angry With Obama: ‘Absolutely Perplexing’

Within 24 hours of the U.S. naming Israel we learn that Angela Merkel of Germany is willing to meet with former NSA contractor Edward Snowden who is in asylum in Russia about what information the U.S. obtained from her phone.

Germany: Prepared to speak with Snowden

Once again, as we do to Israel, it will be done to Obama. If he allowed sensitive information about Israel to be leaked, then guess what -- sensitive information about what he has been doing in private will also be leaked. I am quite sure he does not want Merkel and Snowden to meet but there is probably little he can do to prevent it; however, it will be interesting to see if there is a public reaction from this administration to Germany in some way.

In the meantime, Kerry is off to the Middle East, again.
